Katie Van Brocklin has been with the firm since January 2006. She has experience in a variety of assurance and tax services including audits, reviews, compilations, and tax return preparation in a wide variety of industries including professional services, manufacturing, rental real estate, non-profit organizations and employee benefit plans to name a few.

Katie is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the MACPA New Professionals Task Force Committee.
Education:
Katie earned her B.S.B.A. in accounting from Central Michigan University in December 2005. She passed all parts of the exam the first time and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2008.
Interests:
Katie grew up in Berkley, MI where she currently resides with her husband. As a native of Metro Detroit, Katie loves all things Detroit, from local sports teams to the Thanksgiving Day Parade. She loves the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and reading. Otherwise, Katie is always happy to spend time with her friends and family.
Daniel Harris, CPA

Daniel Harris joined MRPR Group in 2006. He provides accounting and tax services to closely held companies and high net worth individuals. He has experience in a variety of client services including audits, reviews, compilations, tax planning, and trust tax preparation. He prepares state tax returns for a majority of US states.
Memberships:
Daniel is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), the MACPA New Professionals Task Force, the MACPA State and Local Tax Task Force, and the Real Estate Investors Association of Oakland Michigan.
Education:
Daniel graduated from Walsh College with Master's and Bachelor's of Accounting Degrees. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 2007 and passed all four parts of the CPA exam on his first attempt.
Interests:
Daniel is a lifelong animal lover who enjoys going to zoos and parks and has a 3 year old Siamese cat. In the summer he enjoys swimming and sunbathing. He is a real estate investor who owns rental property in the Detroit area.
Emili Combs

Emili Combs is an accounting specialist with MRPR and has been with the firm since 1999. She has experience in a variety of attest and accounting services for closely-held businesses. Throughout her tenure at MRPR, Emili has gained experience in 401(K) audits and employee benefit plan accounting, while her true specialty is in small business accounting and bookkeeping functions in various industries including manufacturing and professional services.

Emili is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Education:
Emili earned her B.B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University in 1998.
Interests:
Emili keeps busy by raising her three young boys. Emili also loves to travel.
Rachel Vardon

Specialties and Experience:
Rachel Vardon joined MRPR in November 2011. Rachel began her career in the corporate accounting industry working for an insurance company. After years of experience in the insurance industry she decided to pursue a career in public accounting. During her time with MRPR, Rachel has assisted on audits, accounting, and tax engagements. While gaining much experience in all areas of public accounting she is currently studying and working towards her CPA license.

Education:
Rachel graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Oakland University in 2010.
Interests:
Rachel enjoys spending time with friends and family, snowboarding and the beach.
Matt Mazure, CPA

Matt Mazure joined MRPR in December 2011. He provides assistance on auditing, accounting and tax engagements on a wide variety of clients in various industries. As he has already passed the CPA exam, he is gaining much experience while awaiting the time requirements in order to officially receive his CPA license.

Matt is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
Education:
Matt graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Saginaw Valley State University in May 2011.
Interests:
Since moving to the area from his hometown of Harbor Beach, MI, Matt has embraced what metro Detroit has to offer. A lifelong fan of the Red Wings, Lions, and Tigers, Matt can usually be found watching the games and occasionally attending them. Matt enjoys playing hockey and baseball as well as spending time with family and friends.
