Tax Intern

Job Description

A Tax Intern will participate in many phases of tax compliance and various projects relative to assigned client engagements. There will be preparation of individual income tax returns and business returns and preparation of quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments. Approximately 15-25 hours per week are required. Official start of work is the first week of February but some January training will be provided.

Skills and Experience

Education:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Strong academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.0)
  • Planning to obtain 150 credit hours
  • Some tax courses or prior tax preparation experience is helpful

Software:

  • Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Think analytically to respond to complex inquiries
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with clients and Firm members
  • Outstanding time management and organization skills
  • The ability to work independently and also in a team environment
  • Have a basic understanding of US tax law
  • Schedule can be a combination of days from Monday to Saturday
  • Lasts through April 18th 2016
